KARICIA: packaging innovation connected with OKTICS

OKTICS has joined KARICIA in a project that takes packaging digitization to a new level. Each package is equipped with an OKOTag, our smart tag, which allows consumers to interact directly with the product and access information securely managed through OKOCloud.

Transparency and direct connection with the consumer

KARICIA sought to provide a level of transparency and trust that went beyond the traditional label. Their goal was for each package to communicate its story and relevant data in an immediate and verifiable way, reinforcing the end-user experience.

From OKTICS we implemented our connected packaging solution, combining OKOTags with our OKOCloud platform, able to centralize, update and manage all product information in real time.

This project has been supported by EDIH and Madrimasd.org, whose funding has been key to implementing the technology on an industrial scale and ensuring its frictionless integration.

The solution: OKOTags, OKOIdentity and OKOExperience

Each KARICIA package incorporates an OKOTag, our smart label, which connects the product to OKO Cloud, the platform that centralizes and updates all product data. Thanks to OKO Identity, each package has a digital product passport, providing detailed and verified information on its origin, traceability and certifications.

But the innovation doesn’t stop there. With OKO Experience, the product continues to speak after the purchase. Every time the consumer interacts with the OKOTag from their phone, they access constantly updated information: instructions for use, benefits, combinations with other products, personalized recommendations, and exclusive content that only those who own the package can consult.

Thus, the user experience is not limited to the shelf or the label: the package becomes a living channel of communication with the brand, accompanying the consumer throughout the product’s use cycle. In short, packaging is magnified by technology, offering an active narrative and a direct connection with the brand that was previously impossible.
