Floatech drives smart traceability in electromobility solutions with OKTICS
At OKTICS we have accompanied Floatech in the creation of a pilot system that introduces digital traceability, technical information management and an interactive channel between their products and their customers.
Thanks to the integration of OKOTags and the OKOCloud platform, each sample now incorporates a unique QR that gives direct access to technical specifications, safety documentation, operating instructions and audiovisual content, all updated in real time.

This pilot has been possible thanks to the support of EDIH Madrid Region, coordinated by Fundación madri+d, which has financed the project and has allowed Floatech to accelerate its transition to digital models aligned with the new European requirements.
A challenge focused on clarity, security and access to information
Floatech needed a system that would allow its customers to access accurate and up-to-date information on highly technical products. Documentation that previously had to be mailed or managed manually now had to become accessible, clear and always available from within the product itself.
Their objective was twofold:
- Improve your customers’ communication and user experience.
- Prepare the organization for a regulated environment that will require detailed traceability.
From OKTICS we saw the opportunity to turn each sample into an intelligent support that not only displays information, but also records it, updates it and allows us to better understand the behavior of users after receiving the product.
The result is a channel that combines transparency, operational efficiency and after-sales visibility.
The applied solution: unique identification connected to OKOCloud
We developed a system based on unique QR identifiers, integrated in OKOTags smart tags. Each sample is automatically linked to its digital record within OKOCloud, where Floatech can manage and update the information at any time.
By scanning the code, you are taken to a landing page adapted to the product with:
- Updated technical data sheets
- Safety measures
- Handling documentation
- Demonstration videos
- Sample-specific information
- Private sections for authorized users
All of this is managed from a platform that centralizes data, allows for immediate updates and guarantees consistency between the information sent and used at each stage of the process.
A digital experience that evolves with the product
This pilot turns every Floatech sample into a live access point. Information is not just delivered once: it is maintained, expanded and updated as needed.
In addition, thanks to OKOCloud, Floatech can:
- Analyze when customers consult the information
- Detect patterns of use and post-sale behavior.
- Identify what content generates the most interest
- Optimizing approval times and technical communication
The company thus gains an additional layer of traceability that not only benefits the end user, but also improves internal processes and facilitates preparation for upcoming regulatory obligations.

A solid foundation for the future of the Digital Product Passport
The project, funded by EDIH Madrid Region and Fundación madri+d, establishes a firm first step towards the creation of Floatech’s Digital Product Passport, allowing each unit to be individually identified, audited and traced.
Floatech is thus moving towards a more transparent, secure and innovative supply chain, anticipating the European regulatory framework and demonstrating how digitalization applied to the product can transform the customer relationship, simplify processes and improve competitiveness.
