OKTICS powers L'Espai Lila, the ICS digital resource against gender-based violence

At OKTICS, we led the technological development of L'Espai Lila, a digital resource created by the Unitat d'Igualtat of the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) to prevent and address gender-based violence beyond the clinical setting, using hospital spaces as safe, trusted reference points for the public.

L'Espai Lila is conceived as an educational and gamified digital totem, designed for both healthcare professionals and the general public, with a clear social and community purpose: to inform, raise awareness and facilitate access to resources in situations of gender-based violence.

Interactive experiences and educational games

OKTICS developed interactive games and educational dynamics designed to strengthen awareness around equality, sexual and gender diversity, and gender-based violence. The project combines digital communication with participatory experiences, inviting reflection in a safe and accessible environment.

From any screen or device, users can also access information from any ICS hospital — including protocols, resources and contact details for each centre — enabling a complete and confidential consultation of all available support.

Active across all 8 ICS hospitals

All 8 ICS hospitals now have these digital spaces, forming a territorial network of safe, accessible hubs with impact both in the healthcare environment and in the wider community — including Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol and Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova.

Safety and privacy: the SOS button

Each space includes an SOS button with an emergency phone number and a quick-exit button that lets users leave the content immediately without leaving any trace — ensuring safety and discretion in sensitive situations.
